German teams to manage on EAFC 24 career mode

Having previously reported on German teams to manage on the latest instalment of Football Manager, we at GGFN do not want to leave those who play EAFC 24 empty-handed. Therefore, here are three sides that could make for a thrilling save in EAFC 24 career mode.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

The glory years of the 1970s are nothing but a distant memory for the Borussia Mönchengladbach faithful. Even in recent memory, it has been three years since Die Fohlen last competed in the Champions League. However, with Gerardo Seoane at the helm, Gladbach appear to be rebuilding themselves into a side ready to fight for Europe once more.

While this season is nothing more than a transitional one, where the side look to adapt their young squad to the rigours of the Bundesliga, it is a great platform to work from. With twelve players boasting a potential of 80+, there is plenty of talent ready to take this squad to the next level.

As well as this, Gladbach’s nickname, Die Fohlen, originates from their illustrious past, when their young squad’s attractive style of play dominated the Bundesliga and the continent. Can you take over this side and nurture their young players while also using the youth academy effectively to bring Borussia Mönchengladbach back to the top and go one step further by lifting the Champions League?

FC Magdeburg

Currently residing in the 2. Bundesliga, at the start of the millennium, Magdeburg were playing in the fifth tier of German football. However, it may not be known, but this side were one of East Germany’s finest sides in the 1970s and once upon a time European Champions.

Magdeburg became the only East German side to have won a European trophy in the 1973/74 season, claiming the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup against one of AC Milan’s finest sides. However, after reunification, Magdeburg struggled financially and fell down the football pyramid.

Nevertheless, they have been able to build themselves back up, and with their large, loud, and loyal fanbase behind them, can you push them to the Bundesliga and potentially back to European supremacy?

Arminia Bielefeld

Two years ago, Arminia Bielefeld were a Bundesliga side under the stewardship of former Schalke head coach Frank Kramer. However, the last 24 months at the SchücoArena have been nothing but turmoil, plunging the side down to the 3. Liga after losing the relegation play-off to Wehen Wiesbaden in embarrassing fashion last season.

Now Armenia Bielefeld occupy mid-table in Germany’s third tier with ambitions of finding a way back to the Bundesliga. With a well-balanced side in EAFC 24, promotion in the first season will be the aim, but can you help the club forget their back-to-back relegations with back-to-back promotions before establishing them as a top-flight club? With the SchücoArena being a licensed stadium on the game, they appear to be one of the best road-to-glory saves this year.
