The biggest difference-maker for Germany, Wirtz put in a fantastic performance and was directly involved in both goals. In the first half, he produced some nifty footwork before seeing his effort come back off the post, with Tom Bischof reacting quickest to the rebound to put Germany ahead. Wirtz later scored a wonderful goal himself to make it 2-0. He finished the game with five key passes, a 93 percent pass success rate and two completed dribbles.
