Germany will be without Füllkrug due to injury

Germany will have no designated striker on the bench for the game against Slovakia as Niclas Füllkrug ruled out because of muscular problems. Nick Woltemade starts up front after making his debut in the number 10 role three months ago in the Nations League.

Füllkrug started all the opening three Premier League games for West Ham, including their win on Sunday away at Nottingham Forest. He only featured twice in the last year for Germany due to injuries. There is no report about his availability for Germany’s next game against Northern Ireland.
