Barcelona are not expected to do much business during the winter transfer window, which opens next week. They will certainly not be any signings because of the club’s well-documented financial woes, although there could possibly be a departure or two.
One player that would be on one of the favourites to move on is Pablo Torre. Since Hansi Flick recovered the likes of Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong and Gavi from injury, the youngster has rarely featured for Barcelona. That would surely be the case for the second half of the season too, which is why a loan deal could be sought.
As per ED, Getafe are one of the clubs interested in taking Torre on loan. Jose Bordalas’ side are in need of midfield reinforcements, and the 21-year-old is someone that would also improve their attacking output – which is desperately needed.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona give the green light for Torre’s departure. It would make sense, although there is still a place for him in Flick’s plans at the moment.
