Mikautadze was Villarreal’s standout in Getafe, his late goal the visitors’ clearest spark on a tough night. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, he earned a seven as the only attacker to truly threaten.
Arambarri opened the scoring from the penalty spot. Getafe then made it 2-0 from a cross delivered on Mouriño’s side after a poor exit at the back by Pau Navarro, before Mikautadze pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining.
Luiz Júnior rated five after dealing with a flood of crosses, though he hesitated on the second goal. Mouriño also got five, imprecise in the build-up, booked and substituted, with the 2-0 arriving from his flank. Pau Navarro earned five, battling two strikers but his error in possession helped set up that second.
Renato Veiga received four, off-colour in possession and penalised for a needless spot-kick. Pedraza improved after half-time and drove on to some effect, a six. In midfield, Parejo took six as he sought to dictate and thread passes amid limited movement, while Gueye’s five reflected a quiet night in duels with Milla and Arambarri.
Buchanan was booed from the first minute, tried to take on Juan Iglesias but could not beat his man, a four. Academy winger Hugo López got five, short of service and well contained by Femenía. Up front, Oluwaseyi rated four after failing to test the keeper, and Pepe also four with little threat inside or wide.
From the bench, Ayoze made intelligent runs and offered solutions, a six. Comesaña added bite late on, a six, and Freeman contributed in the closing stages, also six.
