Links scores as AGF secure big victory

Gift Links registered his name on the scoresheet as AGF secured a thumping 5-2 win over Viborg in the Danish Superligaen on Sunday.

With his team comfortably leading 4-1, the South Africa international rounded up the scoring in the 70th minute, before Osman Addo made it 5-2 in stoppage time.

As a result, AGF remain at the summit of the Danish topflight standings with a two-point lead, as they picked up 47 points in 21 league outings.

Meanwhile, Links has now chipped in with five goals and provided six assists in 26 matches across all competitions this season.

Having missed out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the 27-year-old will be hoping impress Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos in a bid to make the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

The former Cape Town City star will be looking to maintain momentum when AGF visit bottom-placed Vejle Boldklub on Sunday, 01 March.
