Giovanni Reyna to undergo Strasbourg medical ahead of five-year move

Strasbourg are close to signing Mönchengladbach forward Giovanni Reyna for a fee of three million euros. According to L'Équipe, the United States international, 23, will undergo a medical in Alsace on Monday.

He has been allowed to leave Mönchengladbach after an agreement between the clubs. If the tests are completed as planned, he is expected to sign a five-year contract with Strasbourg.

Strasbourg have regularly added players from England in recent seasons, notably from Chelsea. This time the dressing room is set to take on an American accent.

The Alsace club recently lost Valentín Barco from midfield.

Reyna, a former Borussia Dortmund prospect, was at the World Cup this summer.
