A wonderful free-kick for a 1-0 lead, a last-minute set-piece goal to seal the victory – with these ingredients, our FC Red Bull Salzburg Women celebrated a successful start to their ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga campaign last week, a success Dusan Pavlovic's team naturally want to continue. Tomorrow, they have their next home game at the Red Bull Football Academy: at 17:00 CEST against FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen, live on ÖFB TV and Laola1.

The Royal Blues suffered a setback in their opening match, losing 2-3 in the Linz derby. Now they are aiming to secure their first points away at the Saalachspitz stadium, although both their colours and the statistics seem to be working against them. The Steel City women are still waiting for their first away league win this calendar year – their last victory was a 6-2 win against SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg in November 2025.
Furthermore, we certainly know how to beat Blau-Weiß. In addition to their two league victories, our girls also secured a win in the cup against the Upper Austrians in February. The aim is clear: a win against Lea Krinzinger & Co. is the goal ahead of our Austria tour through four different federal states – with four away matches to follow.
A resounding victory or a hard-fought win? Or perhaps a friendly draw? To mark the start of the season, Laola1, the new media partner of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, has launched a prediction game where you can compete against friends, team-mates, and other fans. Sign up and make your predictions for the upcoming matchday!
Our next opponents will challenge us with a lot of intensity. The opening win gives us a good feeling, but that's behind us now. Now we want to play with courage, focus, and unity again and take the next step.
Dusan Pavlovic
