The Girona Football Club, SAD held its Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting today, during which the annual accounts for the 2024/25 season were approved and the budget for the 2025/26 season was presented.
The projected budget for the 2025/26 financial year will be 75 million euros, a figure that represents 35 million less compared to the previous season, mainly due to the decrease in television rights revenue derived from the Champions League, which has been reduced by 30 million euros.
The Club has achieved record figures in season ticket subscriptions, with 9,800 subscribers, as well as in hospitality revenue, with all VIP seats sold. Similarly, sponsorship sales are expected to grow by 8% compared to the previous financial year. Girona FC has also consolidated the performance of the store located in the center of Girona and is working on expanding its online offerings. The mentioned revenues are complemented by player sales. The most significant during this season is that of Krejci to Wolverhampton, which will allow the current salary cap set by La Liga of 75 million euros to be increased in the winter market.
Despite these positive indicators, the projected result for the 2025/26 financial year will be negative, with estimated losses close to one million euros.
Regarding the accounts for the 2024/25 season, the Board approved a financial year that concluded with a historic net profit of 16.5 million euros, although it was 3.1 million below the projected budget, as a result of sports performance, which fell short of expectations both in LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League.
