Olivier Giroud's late header gave Lille a 2-1 comeback victory at the Vélodrome over Marseille, keeping Bruno Génésio's side fifth in Ligue 1.
Early on, Les Phocéens lost Mason Greenwood to injury, with Ethan Nwaneri introduced. In the 43rd minute, Nwaneri finished from Igor Paixão's pass to break the deadlock. It was his first goal for Les Phocéens since joining in January.
The first half dragged into lengthy stoppage time after Lille goalkeeper Berke Ozer was hurt, with Arnaud Bodart replacing him in the eighth minute of first half stoppage time.
After the restart, Thomas Meunier levelled with a left-footed finish (49.). Bodart later parried a drive from Tim Weah as Lille stood firm.
Substitute Giroud then glanced Meunier's cross into the bottom right (86.) to complete the turnaround.
Les Phocéens saw more of the ball at home, finishing with 54.9% possession and 14 attempts. Lille registered 11 attempts and won 62.7% of the duels.
Next, Les Phocéens visit Monaco. Lille host Lens next.
