FC Bayern Women will be without Giulia Gwinn in the coming weeks. The 27-year-old defender suffered a torn lateral ligament in her left ankle during Saturday evening’s 1-0 Bundesliga win at Eintracht Frankfurt. The diagnosis was confirmed by examinations carried out by the FC Bayern medical unit on Monday.
It means Gwinn will also miss the German national team’s upcoming internationals against Australia on 9 October in Karlsruhe and Japan on 13 October in Bremen.
