Borussia Mönchengladbach have been hit by another setback, with new signing Nicolas Kühn sustaining a muscle injury and expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Bild reports that the Como loanee has suffered a muscle fibre tear and is expected to be out for up to six weeks.

Kühn only made his debut at the weekend, coming off the bench in the 4-3 home defeat to Elversberg.

Fellow summer arrivals Enzo Leopold, Yukhym Konoplia and Daiki Hashioka are also out, with an ACL tear, a partial medial ligament tear and a neck sprain respectively.

The Bundesliga side are additionally without Jens Castrop, who is recovering from shoulder surgery.
