Gonçalo Moreira has been named March’s best young player in Liga Portugal two Meu Super after a standout month with Benfica B.

According to Glorioso 1904, the award was decided by a vote run by Sindicato dos Jogadores. He took 15.97% of the ballot, finishing ahead of Porto B’s Gonçalo Ribeiro and Benfica B team-mate Miguel Figueiredo.

Across March he produced two goals, against Feirense and Farense, and one assist in four matches for the B team.

Aged 20, he has advanced quickly this season, featuring from the under-19s in the Youth League through to the first team.

He made his senior debut against Nacional, replacing Andreas Schjelderup, and was later an unused substitute versus Gil Vicente.

The midfielder continues to impress the coaching staff led by José Mourinho, and this recognition underlines his growing status and optimism among Benfica supporters.
