Mikel Goti has yet to play a minute since Pellegrino Matarazzo took charge at Real Sociedad, leaving the midfielder short of opportunities.
According to AS, the club and player are considering a winter loan, with midfield the squad’s most crowded area and this his first season in the first team.
Under the American coach there have been four matches, three in LaLiga and one in the Copa del Rey, and the Gorliz-born 23-year-old was omitted from the squad in three.
Earlier in the cup he made an impact, scoring two goals, one against Negreira and another against Reus.
Across both competitions he has totalled 254 minutes over six appearances this season, and has not yet convinced the new coach.
Several Segunda División clubs have explored taking him for the second half of the campaign, and with the window open until 2 February, the next few days will be decisive in determining his destination.
