Kamil Grabara has completed his loan move to Juventus from Wolfsburg and will be looking to prove his worth at the club, with the delighted Polish star thanking Bianconeri icon Wojciech Szczesny for helping him get the transfer sorted.

Szczęsny played for Juventus between 2017 and 2024, competing in more than 200 league games for them before he retired and then came out of retirement to play for Barcelona. He is one of the best goalkeepers Poland has had, and Grabara will hope to be in that conversation in the coming seasons.

Grabara begins Juventus challenge

The goalkeeper now has the chance to play for a much bigger club than his parent team and will want a long stay on the books of the Bianconeri. He will therefore work to ensure that the team trusts him and believes he can become an important part of the squad.

He joins as the second choice, but Luciano Spalletti will offer him the chance to become the first choice if he proves that he is the best goalkeeper in the squad. Grabara knows that he must prove himself to earn regular minutes and secure a permanent move to the club.

The former Liverpool academy star will therefore have to make the most of every opportunity he receives. For now, he will focus on performing well whenever he plays and showing Juventus that he deserves a longer stay.

Grabara believes Szczesny helped his move

He thinks Szczęsny probably recommended him to Juventus and thanked the Poland legend for his support, as quoted by Alfredo Pedulla:

“Yes, I talked to him, we’ve been in touch for a long time, since I’ve known him. I’m pretty sure he spoke well of me, because Juventus called me, so I thank Wojciech”.

Grabara’s comments show how much he appreciates Szczęsny’s apparent role in helping him secure the move. Having already established himself as an important goalkeeper for Poland, Szczęsny is someone whose opinion could carry significant weight.

Now that the transfer is complete, Grabara must focus on his performances. He has an opportunity to compete at a much bigger club and will hope to convince Spalletti and Juventus that he can become a reliable long-term option.
