Granada and Real Sociedad B meet again with memories of lightning starts | OneFootball

Lightning starts have defined this fixture, and Granada visit Real Sociedad B on Sunday with both sides level on eight points. As reported by AS, last season’s meetings were shaped by early Andalusian goals.

At Los Cármenes, Pacheta’s side surged 5-0 ahead inside half an hour. Faye struck on minutes three and eight, Alcaraz on 11, Sola on 22 and Naasei made it five, before Carrera and Mikel Rodríguez replied.

In Zubieta, Petit scored inside a minute and Manu Lama made it 0-2 on five, and that was the final score.

Now it is matchday eight of LaLiga Hypermotion 2026-27 at Zubieta, with Granada 13th and Real Sociedad B 14th, both on eight points. The hosts have lost their last two to Mallorca 0-1 and Ceuta 3-1, while Granada are winless in four after a strong start.

Real Sociedad B still seek a first home win after two defeats and a draw. Orobengoa is out long term and Kita is suspended. Jon Ansotegi wants bravery and freedom from his players, then to see whether the opponent is better.

Granada have conceded 10 in four, six in the last two, and Pacheta said there will be changes. Marqués and Kader are injured and Owen will not make it back from the Under-18 World Cup, but the Frenchman Diallo returns. Options include Bourama in defence, Angelo for Pampín, Alemañ or academy player Gambin behind the striker, and Chinaza up front, with Alcaraz and Gumbau likely to start.
