Mikel Oyarzabal reported to Spain duty fatigued after a summer of matches at the World Cup then with Real Sociedad, yet he looks likely to play all four fixtures as muscle problems sideline several team-mates.

According to Diario Vasco, the Real Sociedad captain looks likely to lead the line on Saturday against Czechia at the Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo, 20.45 on TVE-1. Spain, the world champions, are on nine straight wins and 40 games unbeaten, many with Oyarzabal furthest forward.

Eric García was first to drop out, hurting his left knee in the warm-up before the opener against England at Wembley. Alejandro Grimaldo and Nico Williams then withdrew with minor muscle issues, and yesterday Ferran Torres departed due to a left ankle injury ahead of the trip to Oviedo for the third match of this international break. It remains to be seen how many of them play for their clubs in the next league match.

Spain beat England 2-3 and Croatia 4-1 in this window. Czechia lost 1-2 to Croatia and 0-2 to England.

Elsewhere on Friday, Venezuela continued their Far East tour. Jon Mikel Aramburu played the full 90 minutes and Yangel Herrera the first 63 in a 0-0 draw with South Korea in Ulsan. They remain away, with Jordan to come in Amman on Tuesday.

Two more Real Sociedad players are back in action on Saturday. Luka Sucic is in line to feature when Croatia face England, while Orri Óskarsson will look to add to his tally for Iceland against Estonia in Tallinn.
