Celtic FC Women continued their strong start to the new season by picking up another three points in a 3-0 win over Montrose.
In what was the Ghirls first outing at their new home in Kirkintilloch, it was three spectacular goals which won the game for the Hoops.
Casey Howe and Izzy Fisher got off the mark with their first competitive goals in the Hoops, while Maria McAneny marked her return from injury with a superb strike of her own.
The Ghirls had to remain patient throughout, with all three goals coming beyond the 80-minute mark, and that was an aspect of the performance Grant Scott was pleased with.
Speaking to CelticPlayer after the game, the Hoops boss said: “I think we played well in the game. We asked the players at half-time especially to be a wee bit patient.
“There's a risk that you get too frustrated, and you've created a lot of chances.
'You start doing foreign things and I think credit to the group. I thought we kept doing the things that we asked them to do.'
“When you keep creating opportunities, you do begin to wonder if it's going to be one of those days that you've just not been able to capitalise.
“Then you get your goal and it looks fairly easy from there, but we've had to ride a wee bit of luck, I suppose.
“But credit to the players. I thought the subs made their impact. So we're looking at a together group again, which is important as we go forward.
“I think they're happy with the surface,” he continued. “It's a different venue. The fans are much closer to the pitch surrounding the pitch as well in parts.
“And as the crowd grows here and we keep winning matches here, I think they'll enjoy having that intensity right behind them.
