The organised fan bands of Internacional and Grêmio have been tuning up ahead of back-to-back Gre-Nal ties in the Copa do Brasil, and will lead the atmosphere in the stands. Both clubs are expected to draw the biggest crowds of their season across the two derbies.

RBS TV followed part of the groups’ preparation in the build-up, work that has been under way since the quarter-final draw.

Inter host the first leg on Thursday at 20:00 at Beira-Rio. Alongside backing in the stands, fans are preparing the famous ruas de fogo reception, a pyrotechnic display staged around the stadium as the squad arrive.

The club have not confirmed a crowd estimate, but the expectation is for around 45,000, including 2,000 Grêmio supporters. Some tickets remain on sale in premium areas of Beira-Rio.

The return is next Thursday, also at 20:00, at Arena do Grêmio. Between the ties, both sides play a Brasileirão fixture with an eye on the relegation zone. Each sits on 25 points, one off the Z-4.
