Everton Cebolinha’s move to Krasnodar fell through, and with his Flamengo contract up in December, Grêmio, Atlético-MG and São Paulo are encouraged by his situation amid the possibility of a termination.

Flamengo are said to only consider releasing him for free to a club outside Brazil, and there are currently no offers on the table. ESPN reports that the winger prefers a return to European football, having played for Benfica from 2020 to 2022.

With his deal in its final six months, Cebolinha is free to sign a pre-contract with any team and would depart for nothing at the end of his term. Any side wanting him immediately would need to submit a proposal to Flamengo.

Flamengo signed Cebolinha in June 2022 for around €14 million, approximately R$ 88 million at the time. He has made 191 appearances, scoring 21 goals with 25 assists.

He has won nine trophies at Flamengo, including two Libertadores, two Copas do Brasil, one Brasileirão, one Supercopa do Brasil and three Cariocas.

Cebolinha’s most recent outing was the 1-1 draw with São Paulo on 26 July in the 20th round of the Brasileirão. Flamengo have since played six matches across the league and the Libertadores, with head coach Leonardo Jardim not calling on him, and the player is seeking an agreement with a new club.
