According to Globo.com, Grêmio recorded 19 injuries in the first five months of 2026. Luis Eduardo, Gustavo Martins and Marlon returned to CT Luiz Carvalho on Wednesday to resume treatment. The rest of the squad are due back on 17 June.
Midfielders Arthur and Willian, centre-back Gustavo Martins and forward Pavon, now used as a right-back, each sustained two injuries. The most serious case was left-back Marlon.
The first setback was Pavon on 14 January, a right knee ligament issue that cost four matches. The most recent was also Pavon, a grade two strain in the right hamstring against City Torque at the Arena on 26 May.
Marlon fractured his right ankle against Vitória on 19 March, an incident that shocked players and supporters at the Arena. He is in recovery and expects to rejoin group training by the end of June.
Arthur’s first problem was confirmed on 8 March after the Gauchão final second leg against Inter, a grade one left hamstring strain that initially sidelined him for three games. By his account, an early comeback against Vasco led to a relapse, so he also missed Palmeiras.
In late April, against Palestino in the Sul-Americana, Arthur picked up a grade one right rectus femoris injury and returned versus Santos, taking his absences to 10 games. Willian suffered a muscle oedema on 18 February, then chronic tendinopathy in the posterior right thigh on 4 April, and also missed 10 games. They trail only Marlon for games missed.
