Grêmio host Atlético Mineiro in the Brasileirão at the Arena do Grêmio on 26 February 2026, with both sides seeking an early-season lift after slow starts left them 13th and 15th respectively.
Grêmio have already shown punch at home, scoring five in their only league game in Porto Alegre, while Atlético Mineiro are winless and yet to score away this season.
Imortal's league return reads one win and two defeats, including a 5-3 home victory over Botafogo. Galo have drawn with Palmeiras and Remo and lost at RB Bragantino, though they also produced a 7-2 rout of Itabirito in Mineiro action.
Injuries leave Imortal light in midfield, with Willian, Gustavo Cuéllar, Arthur and Mathias Villasanti sidelined, while forwards Martin Braithwaite and Tetê are also out. Galo list Lyanco and Alexsander as absentees.
With five goals in their only home league outing, the Tricolor Gaúcho may look to front-foot play again. Atlético-MG, scoreless on the road so far, could lean on Hulk and Gustavo Scarpa to supply Mateo Casierra.
Imortal sit on three points and a win would take them to six, which could nudge them towards the top half. Galo are on two points and victory would move them to five, easing early pressure and pulling them away from the relegation places.
