Grêmio left-back Pedro Gabriel was discharged late on Monday morning after spending the night under observation. He had collided with Carrascal during Sunday’s defeat to Flamengo at the Arena.

According to Globo.com, he was briefly unconscious on the pitch after an accidental clash with the Colombian. Tests at Hospital Moinhos de Vento revealed no major issues beyond a cut to his face.

The concussion protocol was not triggered. He will be re-evaluated and could be available for the Copa do Brasil tie against Confiança on Thursday.

Pedro Gabriel did not take part in Grêmio’s Monday session and will be assessed on Tuesday.

The squad travel to Aracaju on Wednesday for the fixture. The defeat by Flamengo put the Tricolor in the Brasileirão relegation zone.
