Captain Griedge Mbock has been recalled to Laurent Bonadei’s France squad to face Latvia in a friendly on 10 October in Laval, with Birmingham midfielder Océane Hurtré earning a first call-up.

L'Équipe reports that Mbock and forward Kadidiatou Diani return after missing June’s camp through injury, alongside Anaïs Ebayilin and Estelle Cascarino. Cascarino last featured on 3 December 2024 against Spain, a 2-4 defeat.

Delphine Cascarino, Elisa De Almeida and Oriane Jean-François are injured. As planned, Perle Morroni and Laurina Fazer remain with San Diego Waves to avoid a long trip, with only one match on the programme.

Naomie Feller and Kessya Bussy are not included, nor are Wassa Sangaré, Lou Bogaert, Maeline Mendy, Lucie Calba and Justine Rouquet.

The squad also features goalkeepers Chavas, Peyraud-Magnin and Picaud, plus defenders Bacha, Lakrar, Samoura and Sombath. Midfield options include Baltimore, Karchaoui and Swierot, with attacking selections Becho, Katoto, Malard and Mateo.
