According to Superdeporte, Pep Guardiola has hailed Arsenal as the best team in the world, with the Premier League leaders seven points clear of Manchester City and strong in Europe.

The City manager made the assessment during his pre-Wolves press conference, after being asked about Rodri’s fitness as the midfielder continues his recovery from injury.

Guardiola highlighted the level of Mikel Arteta’s side, noting they are winning in the Premier League, the Champions League and in the cups.

His remarks come with Arsenal top of the table and already assured of a place in the Champions League knockout rounds.

The London club’s consistency across competitions has made them the benchmark in English football this season and, in Guardiola’s eyes, City’s principal rivals for the title.
