Guardiola reveals Man City star will miss Manchester derby – and provides Marmoush update

Pep Guardiola says Rayan Ait-Nouri will join Omar Marmoush in missing this Sunday’s Manchester derby.

“Not yet,” Guardiola said when asked if he knew how long Marmoush would be out.

“We have to do the last tests. A few weeks, I think.

“Before or after the international break, he will be ready.”

Ait-Nouri will also miss out with an injury, Guardiola confirmed, while John Stones is a doubt after withdrawing from England duty with a muscle injury.

“It’s not a big, big issue but he’s a doubt for Sunday,” Guardiola said.

Rayan Cherki is also sidelined with a thigh injury which is expected to keep him out until at least next month.

Josko Gvardiol, Savinho, Abdukodir Khusanov and Phil Foden could all return following their recent injury issues, however.
