Gudmundsson And Stach Get 8 | Leeds United Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Everton

Leeds United entertained Everton at Elland Road earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result in their Premier League season opener. The Whites made a good start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Lukas Nmecha finally broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 84th minute. The West Yorkshire club ended up grinding out an impressive 1-0 win in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player fared during the clash against the Toffees.
GK: Lucas Perri – 7/10
Perri made one solid save at the back and earned an important clean sheet at home.
RB: Jayden Bogle – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and was strong in the air.
CB: Joe Rodon – 7/10
Rodon put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.
CB: Pascal Struijk – 7/10
He made a lot of crucial clearances on the defensive end of the field and won a couple of aerial duels as well.

LB: Gabriel Gudmundsson – 8/10
Gudmundsson was solid when defending inside his half and made a few driving runs on the left flank.
CM: Ao Tanaka – 6.5/10
He worked his socks off at the centre of the park and made two good chances for his teammates up top.
CM: Ethan Ampadu – 6.5/10
Ampadu anchored the midfield well but offered very little going forward.
CM: Anton Stach – 8/10
Stach protected his backline well and got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third.
RW: Daniel James – 6/10
He caught the eye at times, but never looked like he would score.
ST: Joel Piroe – 6/10
Piroe was not shy of having a strike at goal and was replaced in the 77th minute.
LW: Wilfried Gnonto – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when needed but failed to threaten the Everton goal.
Substitutes:
LW: Brenden Aaronson – 6.5/10
Aaronson made two key chances in the final third.
ST: Lukas Nmecha – 7/10
He kept his composure well from the penalty spot and scored the only goal of the game in the 84th minute.
CM: Ilia Gruev – 6/10
Gruev added some energy to Daniel Farke’s midfield.
