At La Beaujoire in Nantes on Thursday, Guéla Doué scored and set up another as Côte d'Ivoire beat France 2-1, becoming the fifth France-born player to net against his country in an official match.

Statsdufoot reports that he is only the second RC Strasbourg player to score against France, following Szilard Nemeth for Slovakia on 1 March 2006.

Born in Angers, Doué drew Côte d'Ivoire level after France had gone ahead.

He then supplied the pass for Amad Diallo to score the winner.

His younger brother Désiré was among the substitutes. Doué joins Jacques Fatton, Djamel Belmadi, Nicolas Pépé and Wahbi Khazri in that select list.
