Right-back Frédéric Guilbert has left EPL side Aston Villa for former club Strasbourg, while Nantes have nabbed midfielder Florent Mollet from Schalke and promising young left-back Jaouen Hadjam from second-tier Paris FC.

FC Nantes have signed right-back Frédéric Guilbert from English club Aston Villa. The 28-year-old former Caen man is returning to a club he has already been with, having spent the last two seasons on loan there, in the first half of 2021, and last season, which saw him finish sixth in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

Two reinforcements for FC Nantes Florent Mollet returns to Ligue 1 Uber Eats! The French U20 international landed at the Parisian club in 2018 after a junior career with SFC Champagne 95 (2009-2011), US Alfortville (2011-2014), Paris Saint-Germain (2014-2015) and US Créteil Lusitanos (2015-2018). He will wear the number 26 and will be tasked with covering for the injured Quentin Merlin (adductor).
