Guler And Bellingham Get 8 | Real Madrid Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Espanyol

Real Madrid faced off against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in La Liga. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and scored the opener in the ninth-minute thanks to Jude Bellingham’s effort. However, Alex Calatrava equalised for the home team in the 30th minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Carlos Espi ended up scoring the winning goal for Real Madrid in the 90th minute as Jose Mourinho’s men earned a narrow 2-1 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player performed during the clash against Espanyol.
GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6.5/10
Courtois made a couple of solid saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.
RB: Denzel Dumfries – 6.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
Konate gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch.
CB: Dean Huijsen – 6.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong defensively during the 90 minutes.

LB: Alvaro Carreras – 6.5/10
He had a lively game going forward, but was replaced after the hour mark.
RW: Arda Guler – 8/10
Guler engineered a lot of decent chances for his teammates to score and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Federico Valverde – 7.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
CM: Bernardo Silva – 6.5/10
Silva worked hard defensively and managed to shine at times inside the opponent’s half.
LW: Jude Bellingham – 8/10
He was a constant menace in the final third and scored the opener in the ninth minute. Bellingham was substituted in the 79th minute.
ST: Kylian Mbappe – 7/10
Mbappe was always willing to have a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Vinicius Junior – 6.5/10
He made a few dangerous runs with the ball, but there was no goal for him.
RW: Yan Diomande – 6.5/10
He had a couple of bright moments after coming off the bench.
LB: Marc Cucurella – 6.5/10
Cucurella made one good chance going forward.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well.
CM: Eduardo Camavinga – 6/10
Camavinga added some energy to Mourinho’s midfield.
He scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.
