Real Madrid faced off against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in La Liga. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and scored the opener in the ninth-minute thanks to Jude Bellingham’s effort. However, Alex Calatrava equalised for the home team in the 30th minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Carlos Espi ended up scoring the winning goal for Real Madrid in the 90th minute as Jose Mourinho’s men earned a narrow 2-1 win away from home.

Courtois made a couple of solid saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.

LB: Alvaro Carreras – 6.5/10

He had a lively game going forward, but was replaced after the hour mark.

RW: Arda Guler – 8/10

Guler engineered a lot of decent chances for his teammates to score and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Federico Valverde – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 6.5/10

Silva worked hard defensively and managed to shine at times inside the opponent’s half.

LW: Jude Bellingham – 8/10

He was a constant menace in the final third and scored the opener in the ninth minute. Bellingham was substituted in the 79th minute.

Mbappe was always willing to have a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
