Gustavo Henrique has been recognised by CONMEBOL after he topped a key metric in the Libertadores group stage.

The federation said on Monday that the Corinthians centre-back recorded the most successful passes in the section, highlighting the feat on its official channels.

Across six games he posted 93% passing accuracy, completing 337 and misplacing only 26.

He also contributed four goals, placing fourth among Corinthians' scorers in the competition.

Corinthians ended the group stage with only four conceded, one of the tournament's best defensive records. As a comparison, Rosario Central let in one, Cerro Porteño and Flamengo two each, and Cruzeiro three.

With the season pausing for the World Cup, Gustavo Henrique and his team-mates are now on holiday.

Corinthians have more than 50 days without official fixtures, returning in the final week of July to host Remo at Neo Química Arena in round 19 of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
