Habib Beye has posted a farewell message to Olympique de Marseille supporters, staff and players, two days after the club announced his dismissal as head coach. The coach said in an Instagram post that it had been a privilege to lead the club and he thanked fans for their passion and support.

He also praised club employees and his backroom staff, expressing admiration and gratitude for their work. He finished by thanking his squad, saying they had stayed united to secure European qualification.

Beye, 48, took charge in February, succeeding Roberto De Zerbi. He did not manage to reach next season’s Champions League.

His record was six wins, two draws and five defeats.

Marseille will play in the Europa League in 2026-2027, with Bruno Genesio as coach.
