Haiti, Panama celebrate berths in Final Round

MIAMI – Haiti and Panama kept pace for first place in their respective groups as the Second Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 continued on Saturday.
The Road to the 2026 continues for Concacaf nations with the final encounters of the Second Round during the June 2025 match window. The group winners and runners-up will progress to the Third and Final Round.
Aruba 0, Haiti 5
Haiti won 5-nil against Aruba in Group C at Compleho Deportivo Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.
Danley Jean Jacques opened the scoring in the 29’ with a strike in the box.
Frantzdy Pierrot extended the lead in the 35’ with a left-footed shot from the top of the box.
Aruba had a penalty kick opportunity in the 53’ but Roviën Ostiana’s attempt was saved by Haiti goalkeeper Johny Placide.
Ruben Providence struck in the 61’ to continue the scoring for Haiti.
Duckens Nazon scored from a free kick in the 67’. Mondy Prunier added his name on the scoresheet in the 86’ to wrap up the victory.
Haiti improved to nine points and will host Curaçao in a battle for first place in the group on Tuesday.
Belize 0, Panama 2
Panama won 2-nil against Belize in Group D at FFB Field in Belmopan, Belize.
A Fidel Escobar header in the 10’ placed Panama in the lead.
Eduardo Guerrero, who assisted the opening goal, went from provider to scorer in the 50’ with a right-footed shot from the center of the box.
Panama improved to nine points to secure its place in the Third and Final Round. Los Canaleros will host Nicaragua on Tuesday with first place in the group on the line.
