Haiti, Panama, Costa Rica, USA book tickets to FIFA U-17 World Cup

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers continued with eight matches as Groups B, C, D and E concluded on Tuesday.
The day’s results saw Haiti, Panama, Costa Rica, and the United States win their respective groups to secure qualification for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026.
Group B
Anguilla 1-1 Dominica
Anguilla and Dominica played out a 1-1 stalemate in Group B at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama. Both sides secured their first point.
Peyton James got the opener for Dominica in the 27’. Zahir Hennis leveled the scoring on a counter in the 61’.
Panama 4-1 Nicaragua
Group hosts Panama defended its lead in Group B with a 4-1 victory against Nicaragua at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama.
Lucas Norte scored the go-ahead goal for Panama in the 5’. Jossimar Insturain buried in a powerful right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 10’ to double the advantage.
Estevis López added a third for Panama in the 31’ with an impressive solo effort. Bryan Corea shortened the deficit for Nicaragua from close range in the 67’.
Thiago Chalmers rounded out the victory for Panama in the 84’, with a header from inside the penalty box.
The win confirms Panama as the winner in Group B as the nation secured a fifth qualification for a FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Group C
Antigua and Barbuda 1-0 Grenada
Antigua and Barbuda opened Group C action with a 1-nil victory over Grenada at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Deonjre Joseph struck the winner for Antigua and Barbuda in the 58’, by heading home a free kick delivery into the box from Robert Jeffrey. The goal marked the first for the Benna Boys in the 2026 edition.
Haiti 2-1 Guatemala
Haiti defeated group hosts Guatemala, 2-1, in a crucial Group C encounter at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Haiti found the opener in the 7’ with a header from inside the penalty box from Sonson Jean-Baptiste. Patrick Arana tied the match for the hosts in the 11’, capitalizing on a cross from Hensen Chacón.
Baptiste recorded his second of the match in the 22’, with a powerful shot from inside the box, to secure the pivotal win for Haiti.
Haiti wins Group C and qualifies for a FIFA U-17 World Cup for the fourth time.
Group D
British Virgin Islands 2-2 Turks and Caicos
The British Virgin Islands drew 2-2 against Turks and Caicos in Group D at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field # 2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Both Caribbean nations secured their first point.
Jordan Dane got Turks and Caicos off the mark in the 4’. Akhori Sebastian tied the match for the British Virgin Islands in the 21’.
Turks and Caicos reclaimed the lead in the 43’, when Scott Kommalapate received a pass from Jwaun Exalu. Theo Coombs converted a penalty for the BVI in the 84’ for the 2-2 result.
Costa Rica 0-0 Puerto Rico
Costa Rica and Puerto Rico drew nil-nil in Group D at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field #2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
With the result, Costa Rica won Group D and qualified for its 12th FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Group E
United States 1-1 Dominican Republic
The United States and the Dominican Republic tied 1-1 in Group E at Arnos Vale Sporting Complex in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Malik Jakupovic handed USA the lead in the 41’, with a towering header from inside the box, to extend his lead as the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals.
Adrian Garcia equalized for the Dominican Republic in the 44’.
The draw confirmed USA as the winner in Group E, booking a ticket for a 20th FIFA U-17 World Cup appearance.
Saint Kitts and Nevis 2-2 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Group E wrapped up with a 2-2 draw between hosts Saint Kitts and Nevis and Sainit Vincent and the Grenadines. The point was the first for each side in the 2026 edition.
Savi-k Morton placed the hosts in the lead in the 5’, blasting in a long-range stunner into the top left corner.
T’Quandre Burroughs doubled the advantage in the 13’, scoring from close range.
Two second half strikes in quick succession helped Saint Vincent and the Grenadines tie the proceedings. Jaymar Williams scored following a precise through ball from Jolanson Charles in the 74’. Beau Hoyte equalized with a banger from long-range in the 77’.
