Hamburg's Merlin Polzin proud after first Bundesliga win this season

Hamburg's coach Merlin Polzin has had a very eventful and exciting week as alongside his first league win this season he put pen to paper on a contract extension at HSV on Friday.

Following his side's win against Köln, he said: “We saw a team (Hamburg) on the pitch that played in a way that the stadium took every moment in.”

He added: “The last few weeks have not been easy for us (in losing the first three games). Nicolas Remberg garned a lot of criticism but we know how good he is.”

Lastly, he said: “As a team we went in the same direction during this game together. After the victory, of course you can look at the issues with low ball possession in the first half in a better light.”

Hamburg will play away against Hoffenheim on the 10th October after a lengthy three week international break in a hope to make it back to back wins.
