Hamburg’s Nicolas Capaldo out for weeks with abdominal muscle injury

Hamburger SV confirmed that Nicolas Capaldo has suffered an abdominal muscle injury and will be sidelined for a few weeks.

The problem arose during yesterday’s home match against RB Leipzig, which Hamburg lost 1-2.

The midfielder lasted only 20 minutes before being replaced.

An MRI at the Athleticum sports complex at Volksparkstadion on Monday morning, 2 March, identified the issue.

The 27-year-old Argentinian has made 20 Bundesliga appearances for HSV this season, starting 19 of them.
