Barça have a permanent purchase option worth €3 million, which could rise further up to €5 million based on add-ons and variables.

Hamza eyes first-team spot

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo’s Achraf Ben Ayad after the announcement of his signing by Barcelona, Hamza expressed his delight at making the move.

“It’s a wonderful feeling. I’m very happy. I’m ready and I’d love to get on the pitch right now. I hope to perform well. I want to do Barça proud,” said the 18-year-old striker.

The Egyptian international made it clear that he had ambitions of breaking into the Blaugrana first-team squad, saying:

“My ambition is to play for the first team and give my all for this club. I promise the fans that I will give everything for this club,” he added.

As mentioned earlier, though, Hamza, for now, will be a part of the Barça Atletic setup under Juliano Belletti.

He is the latest player to arrive after the reserve team roped in players like Juwensley Onstein and Joaquin Delgado.

In the coming hours, the Blaugrana are also expected to announce the signing of Patricio Pacifico from Defensor Sporting.
