Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has moved to lavish fresh praise on star winger Raphinha.

This, of course, comes fresh off the Brazilian’s latest starring showing in the colours of the Blaugrana.

Barca marked their return to action on the continent on Wednesday night, welcoming German giants Bayern Munich to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League clash.

And it was the aforementioned Raphinha who went on to prove himself the star of the show.

Restored to his spot on the left flank, the Brazilian international terrorised Bayern’s backline across the 90 minutes, on his way to an eventual hat-trick.

This built ever further upon what has been a spectacular start to the campaign on the part of Raphinha, now sitting on nine goals and six assists across all competitions.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Wednesday’s matchup, the aforementioned Hansi Flick therefore made use of the opportunity to lavish fresh praise on his attacking star.

In pointing towards Raphinha as a unique player across his managerial career to date, though, Barcelona’s boss was keen to highlight the 27-year-old’s attitude as being his standout trait:

“I have never had a player like him in my team. He always gives his all. With and without the ball, he’s very good, he always starts the pressing, and also finishes our chances. He’s always smiling.”
