FC Barcelona face off against an injury-riddled Villarreal away at Estadio La Ceramica in their final La Liga clash before the mid-season Christmas break.
The contest will take place on Sunday evening, with Barça hoping to go into the break on a winning note, with their healthy lead at the top of the league table intact.
Leading up to the game, SPORT reports that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is set to make some changes to the team’s pre-match routine before facing Villarreal.
In the build-up to La Liga matches, whether played at home or away, Barcelona usually follow the same routine. A morning training session at 11 am is held, followed by a press conference from Flick to address the media at 1 pm.
In the Champions League, there are usually some changes, as the structure and organisation of the competition require it.

However, ahead of the final league match of the year, which Barcelona will play at La Ceramica against Villarreal this Sunday, the schedule will also be slightly different.
The training session, normally held in the morning, will be moved to the afternoon, taking place immediately after the German tactician’s press conference, which will take place at its usual time.
The reason for this change is that, once the training session at the Ciutat Esportiva has finished, the team will board a plane to spend Saturday night in the province of Castellon.
Barcelona face the Yellow Submarine at 4:15 pm on Sunday, a kick-off time which, in order to avoid any setbacks, requires the squad to travel a day earlier.
As a result, the final training session has also been moved to the afternoon, before the team begin their journey to Villarreal.
