Hansi Flick makes call on Marcus Rashford’s Barcelona future | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is eager to keep hold of the on-loan Marcus Rashford through next summer and beyond.

This comes with the German tactician more than satisfied with the attacker’s contributions to date.

Rashford of course linked up with Barcelona this past summer, on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United.

And owing to the ongoing injury problems in Barca’s ranks, the 28-year-old has since gone on to play a prominent role.

Across 24 appearances in Blaugrana colours to date, Rashford has racked up 18 direct goal contributions.

And such exploits, it would appear, have already proven sufficient to convince his manager of the Englishman’s readiness to contribute long-term in Catalunya’s capital.

As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Barcelona are already working to retain Marcus Rashford. He is a priority for Hansi Flick.’

The reigning Spanish champions are known to have secured an option to make Rashford’s signing permanent following the conclusion of the campaign.
