Hansi Flick provides concerning Lamine Yamal update before Real Madrid | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into the chances of Lamine Yamal returning in time to feature in the club’s upcoming showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid.

Wide-man Lamine has of course seen his name return to the forefront of the headlines across Spain over the last 24 hours.

Unfortunately for Barcelona, though, as much comes for less than positive reasons.

Fresh off returning to the pitch following a spell on the sidelines with a pubis injury, Lamine suffered an untimely setback.

En route to the Blaugrana’s Champions League defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, the 18-year-old relapsed with the same problem.

Lamine, in turn, is set for a fresh spell out of action over the weeks ahead.

Speaking to the media in his latest pre-match press conference, the status of his attacking star for the season’s first edition of El Clásico – set to play out on October 26th – was in turn put to Hansi Flick.

And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to admit:

“I don’t know if Lamine will be ready for El Clásico. It’s a complicated injury; it’s not easy to say whether he can play in two or three weeks. We’ll take it step by step.”
