Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is a keen admirer of the talents of a member of the defensive ranks at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig. That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who highlights Castello Lukeba as the player in question.

Barcelona have of course been heavily tipped to bring in late-window reinforcements at the back over the last couple of weeks. Following the departure of Ronald Araújo to Liverpool, the Spanish champions’ squad has been left looking somewhat short on options at the heart of defence.

Deco and co, in turn, are closely monitoring the market, with a view to potential opportunities for the weeks ahead.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, the favoured target of Blaugrana headmaster Hansi Flick to add to his defensive ranks has been revealed.

The info comes courtesy of journalist Gerard Romero, who, speaking on a live stream for Spanish outlet Jijantes, explained:

”Barça could start looking to sign a left-footed centre-back. Laporte has been offered, while the coach, Hansi Flick, really likes Castello Lukeba. There are also other options, a bit less prioritized.”
