Harry Kane announces he's "fairly close" to extending Bayern contract | OneFootball

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is closing in on a contract extension that would keep him at the club beyond the summer of 2027.

The 33-year-old told The Independent on Wednesday that talks over an extension – reportedly until at least 2029 – are nearing a conclusion.

“We're in good talks. We're fairly close. There's still some things that we need to iron out. I'm happy there. I think it won't be too long before there's some sort of announcement," Kane said.

The England forward joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 and sees Bavaria as the ideal place to continue his career at the highest level.

“I feel really comfortable in the team, with the coach, the environment. I want to just be at this level and push this level for as long as possible. Especially, as you're getting a bit older, if you don't have a great season somewhere, or you don't play as well, the drop-off is maybe more than what it would have been when you're younger,” Kane said.

“So it's just about extracting as much as I can, with the boss there, with the players I have in the team, I think they're getting the best out of me. I'm helping them as well.”
