Harry Kane has restated his interest in the NFL and hinted he could try it after football, even alongside a final MLS spell. According to L'Équipe, the England captain raised the possibility during the national team camp.

He said he would examine the idea more seriously, stressing it will depend on how his career evolves over the next five or six years, his motivation and what he wants to do.

While football remains his priority, he suggested a future MLS move could allow him to link the two sports given how the seasons align. That scenario fits the current MLS calendar but would be harder from 2027-2028 when the league plans to mirror Europe, playing July to May and overlapping the NFL programme from September to February.

Kane, 33, also noted he is close to extending at Bayern Munich, where he is already under contract until 2027.

A keen golf fan and long-time follower of American football, he has appeared in a FIFA video recognising NFL franchise logos. Around 10 years ago he showcased his kicking ability in a promotional clip, the role he would target in any switch.

He has compared penalty-taking to kicking in the NFL, citing similar pressure and technique, and said he would want six months to a year to try it and train before any move.
