Harry Wilson faces a pivotal decision as his Fulham contract nears its end. The 29-year-old is coming off his most prolific campaign, scoring 10 goals and supplying seven assists, though his form tailed off late on. Fulham have offered fresh terms in their retained list and Leeds United remain linked after last summer’s near miss.
Fulham owner Tony Khan told Wales Online that talks are ongoing and that Wilson may wait to see who replaces Marco Silva, who has left for Benfica. He indicated the winger might already have re-signed had Silva stayed.
Interest has been reported from Aston Villa, Everton and Wrexham, alongside the continued Leeds links. Villa will play in the Champions League next season after a fourth-place finish and Europa League triumph, although regular starts there may be harder to guarantee.
Much could depend on Morgan Rogers. If the 23-year-old departs as anticipated, Wilson could compete for the number 10 role or cover Emi Buendia.
Everton is another route. David Moyes appears well suited to his game, and minutes could be more attainable than at Villa, with the Toffees finishing 13th after fading from European contention late on.
Wrexham carry emotional appeal for the Wales international, and their rise under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney included a Championship play-off push last season. Even so, dropping a division while Premier League interest exists would be a sizeable gamble.
Following Silva to Portugal cannot be ruled out either. For now, Wilson is expected to weigh up concrete offers before deciding whether to chase Europe, stay put in west London or revisit Elland Road.
