But one name in particular sticks in his mind: Jamal Musiala.

When asked which current player would be an ideal fit for the Kings League, the former Bayern captain doesn’t have to think twice. „Someone like Jamal Musiala would of course be predestined for it,“ says Schweinsteiger – a sentence that reveals a lot about the world champion’s appreciation.

Why exactly Musiala? Schweinsteiger indirectly describes the strengths that characterize the FCB professional: extreme agility in small spaces, close ball control, dribbling strength in one-on-one situations and, above all, his intuitive solutions under time pressure.

It is precisely these skills that make Musiala one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe – and at the same time an ideal protagonist in the intense, fast-paced small-sided soccer of the Kings League. According to Schweinsteiger, Musiala would be virtually unstoppable in situations where creativity in the tightest of spaces decides between victory and defeat.

The world champion also mentions former Bayern stars such as Ribéry, Robben and Lahm – all players who tick in a similar way to Musiala in terms of technique and spatial solutions. The classification shows that Schweinsteiger has long seen Musiala in the same league as these exceptional footballers.

While Schweinsteiger delves deep into the Kings League’s plans – from global events and streamer involvement to celebrity ambassadors such as Ronaldo, Lewandowski and Arturo Vidal – the mention of Musiala remains particularly high praise.
