Hearts punish Dundee Utd as VAR-backed penalty sets the tone | OneFootball

Hearts beat Dundee Utd 4-0 at Tynecastle Park, climbing from 10th to fourth in the Scottish Premiership.

Tom Renaud opened the scoring in the fourth minute, rifling in from outside the box after a neat pass from Cláudio Braga.

Soon after, Daniel Bennie fouled Jamie McCart and a penalty was awarded. VAR confirmed the spot kick and Calvin Miller converted (12.).

Braga then struck the post (33.), as Hearts controlled the first half and pressed for a third.

After the restart, Braga finished from the centre to extend the lead (56.) following Sabah Kerjota's pass. Josh McPake swept in a fourth from the left channel (67.) after a cut-back by Braga.

Hearts put seven efforts on target from 12 attempts. United mustered 10 attempts but failed to register a shot on target.

Braga's two assists move him to third in the Premiership's assist chart with two this season.
