Heerenveen dismantle Sparta to climb to 10th

Heerenveen beat Sparta Rotterdam 4-0 at Het Kasteel, climbing to 10th in the Eredivisie as the hosts dropped from 12th to 14th.

After early pressure, Nolhan Courtens opened the scoring in the 28th minute, running onto Levi Smans' through ball and finishing high.

Jacob Trenskow doubled the lead from the right after a fast break (43.), set up by Maxence Rivera.

After the restart, Rivera finished a break of his own from Smans' pass (56.). Substitutes combined for the fourth as Marko Farji swept in Luca Oyen's cut-back (75.).

Heerenveen registered nine shots on target from 23 attempts. Sparta Rotterdam failed to record an attempt on target.
