Heerenveen and Feyenoord will meet today to discuss the transfer of Ilias Sebaoui, 1908.NL have reported. The Friesland club are interested in a loan for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder-stroke-winger, with an option to buy.

The Frisians’ boss Robin Van Persie, former Feyenoord player and U19 coach, has been in close contact with Sebaoui – with the Moroccan Belgian seemingly becoming increasingly convinced to play under him on loan next season. SC Heerenveen wants to stipulate a purchase option in the rental deal, which can be triggered in 2025. Feyenoord in turn is aiming for an amount of ‘several million euros’.

There is rumoured to be a lot of competition for Sebaoui’s signature this term. Eredivisie clubs interested include: FC Twente, Go Ahead Eagles , Willem II , Sparta Rotterdam and Fortuna Sittard.

In Belgium, OH Leuven are fishing for the services of the left winger, where former Beerschot director Frédéric Van Den Steen is at the helm: he knows Sebaoui from his time at the club. Danish club Viborg have already made contact, as has the newly promoted Elversberg in Germany’s Bundesliga 2.

In anticipation of his transfer, Sebaoui is still training with Feyenoord this week. The 22-year-old, who played for FC Dordrecht on loan last season, is not expected to go to the training camp in Austria, yet he will still be part of the Feyenoord selection on Saturday, as they play Cercle Brugge at home. Heerenveen hopes to welcome him to training in Friesland on Monday.
