West Bromwich Albion beat Sheffield United 2-0 at The Hawthorns to rise from 16th to 14th in the Championship.

The Blades threatened early as Joe Wildsmith saved well from Gustavo Hamer and tipped a Mark McGuinness header over. In the 50th minute, Aune Heggebo swept in from George Campbell's breakaway cross to break the deadlock.

Chris Wilder introduced Tahith Chong and Ollie Arblaster, but West Bromwich Albion stayed in control, and Samuel Iling-Junior shot over in added time.

West Bromwich Albion registered 16 attempts, with five on target. The Blades mustered 11 attempts and three on target.
